In order to reduce the burden of injuries experienced by individuals, whanau/family and communities it is necessary to develop appropriate injury prevention interventions.  Research based evidence is required at individual, organizational and community levels.

The provision of research based evidence is necessary to inform initiatives and interventions to enhance lifestyle changes which reduce injury, identify hazards in particular settings and to identify opportunities for injury prevention interventions which are likely to produce sustained injury reduction.

This presentation provides information relating to improving evidence for injury prevention activities.
